It's June! June! June!! June!!!
May I be blunt? I need to be blunt.
I like you. I really really like you. And because I like you so much, I am afraid to show you all the music I have made. Nothing I make seems perfect enough. I know you have distinguished tastes, so I have been keeping my mouth shut until I have something good to say.
We've had times, haven't we? You and me? Remember when we used to stay up late? We kept such happy thoughts, right in the center of our heads. We were so focused back then!
Your face changes so much, so quickly, from light to shadow, from blue to orange. You go through three faces a night.
I realize that I don't really know who you are, and this excites me.
Oh,
I almost forgot to tell you: I made a promise to myself to be as honest as possible. This has been a very positive turn in my life!
So here is some music. I don't think it's done yet, but I can't keep it to myself anymore, because I miss you, and I still want to be friends. You add a lot to my life, and I hope I can add a lot to yours.
The IEC is a collaboration with Bill Gladfelter. There may be more drafts of this in the future. Right now, it feels really fun and fresh, like getting slapped by a pretty, freckle-faced woman in the sunshine.
